Centrifugal
casting FRP pipe are designed specially for large or medium diameter
pipe that be used in engineering. The forming technology of centrifugal
casting FRP pipe has a history of 40 years; it has successful
production and application experiences. Nearly all the developed
countries are using this forming technology to produce water supply
and drainage pipes.

1. Characteristics of the products
1) Has perfect physical properties. The specific gravity of FRP
is 1.8-2.1, is about 1/4 of steel, the intensity of which are
higher the steel, cast iron and plastic. The weight of FRP is
not exceeding 1/4 of that of steel pipe with same specifications.
FRP has an excellent physical mechanics properties, the coefficient
of heat conduction is only 0.5 percent of that of the steel, besides,
FRP is insulation and anti-burning.

2. Chemical corrosion resistance, long life, and suit to convey
different mediums such as acid, alkali, salt and organic solvent,
etc. FRP
3. Perfect hydraulic characteristics. Hydraulic characteristics
are one of the important characteristics of FRP pipe. It means
that the pressure head loss of liquid is low, so you can use smaller
diameter pipes or conveying pumps with low power, and thus can
reduce the beginning investment, save power energy and lower the
operation cost. The inner surface of FRP pipe is very smooth;
generally, the roughness of surface is about 0.008, is a kind
of " hydraulic smooth pipe". During the operating process,
the inner surface of steel pipe, cast iron pipe and concrete pipe
is easy to be corroded partly, and become more and more coarse,
but the surface of FRP pipe can keep smooth all the time.

4. Besides the above-mentioned characteristics of FRP pipe, this
kind of pipe has a solid structure. Because during the process
of forming, the pipe are formed under centrifugal forces that
75 times larger than gravity. This kind of centrifugal forces
are benefit to press various contents of resin pipe wall and benefit
to resin to immerse the glass fibre, and discharge the gas in
pipe wall, all these made a solid structure of the pipe. The FRP
pipe wall is solid, large density, contains resin materials, glass
fibre and quartz sand, and formed a non-gas wall, so the pipe
is no leakage. Strong anti-leaking property is also a perfect
characteristic of centrifugal casting FRP pipe.

5. The structure of pipe wall is rational, no layers division,
with strong anti-cut property. There are 14 layers of the pipe
wall of centrifugal casting pipe. Through analysis of its structure,
we can get the following conclusions:
1) Has transition layers, and erase the damage caused by the sudden
change of rigidity;
2) When the pipe stand the bend loading, the whole pipe wall is
like I-steel, the middle layer is the plate of I-steel, this give
full play to the reinforce function of the reinforce materials.
3) The cube of pipe wall thickness is direct proportion with the
rigidity. The center layer of centrifugal pipe is consisting of
resin, sand and fibre, this can make the wall thicker and the
pipe has a high rigidity.
